The Golden Hour is everyone's dream when it comes to taking wedding photos. However, it is more like the golden 10 minutes. This time of the day does not last long at all if it even makes an appearance. Samuel Cedars is nestled between some houses in the trees which means there isn't a great spot for images at sunset. However, if you are willing to walk down the quiet road just a few feet, there is an open pasture which makes the most gorgeous light. I had to work quickly during these bride and groom portraits because the light was fleeting. We had turned around to walk back to their reception, when I saw the sun peeking through the clouds, creating the most gorgeous golden light. This is the light every couple dreams of on their wedding day. We photographers know that these evenings are few and far between. This was a crisp, October wedding day in Missouri which gave us perfect temperatures and beautiful lighting. I love the simplicity of a groom kissing his bride's forehead. It is a moment that I picture happening often between couples and it sets up for a sweet wedding photograph.
